Gira HomeServer/FacilityServer Review

The Gira HomeServer app offers a streamlined solution for managing complex building technology, ensuring users maintain control whether at home or away. Compatible with iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads, the app functions effectively over GSM, UMTS, or WLAN networks. Designed as a client interface, it connects seamlessly to the Gira HomeServer 3 or FacilityServer, displaying functions in a clear and intuitive manner. Users can easily navigate through a horizontal or vertical display that adapts to the device's orientation.

The following features stand out:

 <li>Main Menu: The main menu showcases all available building functions alongside the current date, time, temperature, and active features through a status bar. Navigation back to the main menu is conveniently facilitated by a lower navigation bar.</li>
 <li>Room List: Rooms are organized by floor, allowing users to view an overview of applications installed in each space with a simple touch.</li>
 <li>Room Functions: Each room's functions and their statuses are easily identifiable and operable with a tap. More complex systems, such as heating controls, offer additional options through pop-up menus. Rotating the device horizontally unveils expanded time clock functionalities.</li>
 <li>Time Clock: This feature allows for customization according to user preferences, including the capability to set random values.</li>
 <li>Diagrams: Consumption data can be analyzed through clearly presented diagrams categorized by year, month, week, day, or hour. Upon rotating the device, the last viewed diagram is displayed in horizontal format, enabling visualization of temperature differentials via multi-touch.</li>
 <li>Messages: The app provides clear notifications regarding alarms and faults as well as real-time measured values related to various system components.</li>
 <li>Weather Data: Users can access up-to-date information from an on-site weather station regarding wind speed, precipitation levels, and temperature readings.</li>
 <li>Energy Generation and Fill Levels: The app simplifies monitoring both photovoltaic energy generation and rainwater cistern fill levels.</li>
 <li>Camera Access: It offers immediate access to on-site cameras with minimal operational steps.</li>
